Booking pages

Share a link and let people book a tour straight onto your calendar, inside your hours, like Calendly.

A booking page is a link you share (in your email signature, a text, an ad) where people pick a time and book a tour with you. The tour goes straight onto your calendar, the person gets a confirmation and reminders by email, and it shows up in My tours like a tour booked on a call.

Booking pages are part of some plans. If yours does not include them, My booking pages says so; ask your account owner. Bookings made on a page are included in the plan: they are not charged like calls.

What people see#

Your link lists your pages. Each page shows who they are meeting, what it is and where, and a calendar of the days you have open times.

  1. They pick a time

Days with open times are in bold. Picking a day lists its times, shown in the visitor's own time zone; they can switch zones below the calendar. If the page offers more than one length, they choose one first.

  2. They give their details

The time they chose stays at the top. They give their name, email and mobile number, and answer the page's own questions.

  3. They are booked

They see the time, who with and where, buttons to add it to Google, Outlook or any calendar, and a link to reschedule or cancel. The same link is in their confirmation email.

Everything works on a phone too:

If someone else takes a time while a person is typing their details, they are told "That time was just taken" and shown the times again, with what they typed kept.

Make a page#

Open My booking pages and press New page. The first time, your link is made from your name, like getanswerstack.com/book/sunrise/dana-morales. You can change it; your old links keep working for 90 days.

The editor has five tabs:

TabWhat you set
BasicsThe title, the link, a description (web links become clickable), which community it is for when you are on more than one, the tour type in your CRM, a colour, and a brand and cover photo.
WhenThe lengths people can pick (up to four), which of your schedules, how often a time starts, how much notice you need, how far ahead, time kept free before and after, and a daily limit.
WhereIn person at the community's address, you call them, they call you, a video link, or somewhere else.
FormWhether email, mobile or both are required, and up to 10 questions of your own: a short or long answer, one or several choices, yes or no, or a date.
After bookingSend them to a page of your own instead of the confirmation, and whether reminders go the day before and two hours before.

When you are offered#

A page offers a time only when it is inside the hours the page uses (your default hours from Availability, or another of your schedules), free on your calendar including the time kept free before and after, far enough ahead, and under the page's daily limit. Your calendar is checked again the moment someone books, so two people never get the same time.

You need a working calendar for a page to take bookings. If your calendar is disconnected, the page says it is not taking bookings.

Pause, change or remove a page#

  • Pause stops a page taking bookings. Its link says "Not taking bookings right now" with your community's phone number. Resume turns it back on.
  • Edit changes anything on the page. Tours already booked keep the time they were booked for.
  • Remove takes the page away. Tours already booked on it stay booked.

An owner or admin can pause your page from Settings → Team. You are emailed, the page says Paused by an admin, and only an admin can resume it.

When people change their plans#

The link in their confirmation lets them pick a new time on the same page, or cancel. You see the change in My tours and on your calendar straight away.

When you cancel or move a tour booked on a page, from My tours, the person is emailed: a cancellation with your note and a link to book again, or the new time with a fresh link to change it.

Share a page#

Share on a page's card gives three ways to use it.

  • Link: for an email signature, a text, a button or an ad. Add utm_source and utm_campaign (for example ?utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=spring) to see in the Insights Scorecard's Booking pages part where bookings came from. Add name, email or phone to fill the form in for someone you already know; they can change it.
  • On your website: the page inside a box on your own page, as tall as it needs.
  • Popup button: a button on your page that opens the page over it.

Both website snippets use the same script as the website chat. When someone books on an embedded page, your page can hear about it: AnswerStack('on', 'booking.scheduled', …) receives the booking's ID and nothing else.

Texts about a booking#

When your account can send texts, the form asks under the mobile number, unticked: Text me about this booking…. Someone who ticks it gets the confirmation, the reminders and any change by text as well as by email, each with the link to reschedule or cancel. Texts wait until 8 am if they would go out overnight. Replying STOP stops them, and START turns them back on.

Pages for a community#

A community can have its own pages too, with several reps on them: see Community booking pages. If you are on one, My pages lists it under You are on these community pages; those tours go on your calendar, in your hours, like your own.

Emails#

Everyone who books gets:

  • a confirmation with the time, who with, where, and the link to reschedule or cancel;
  • reminders the day before and two hours before, unless you turned them off on the page;
  • an email when the tour is moved or cancelled, by you or by them.

These are your account's meeting emails, the same ones every tour gets however it was booked. Someone who came from their follow-up page's Book a time has the tour on that page too.

The emails never include what they told you in the form. You get an email when someone books, with their name and the time; what they told you is in My tours.
